The release of UrbanStone’s two newest paving designs has sparked enormous interest around the nation and demonstrated to the rest of the residential and commercial paving manufacturers that the standard has again been given a quantum shift above the current high level.

UrbanStone’s Shifting Sands is a unique paving module which, through its uncannily detailed surface design and secondary and tertiary processing, is able to transform its visual appearance throughout the day, as the sunlight’s intensity and angle change.

The remarkably textured relief design of the paving surface allows enhancing shadows to be cast giving it the appearance of an expanse of natural windswept sands, imitating an archetypically magnificent Australian outback desert scene.

The exposed aggregate finish gives the paving a rugged yet sophisticated look and feel and, when honed, has a new dimension of elegance added to this already superior quality paving.

Every Shifting Sands unit is handmade and calibrated to a precise, predetermined thickness for ease of installation.

This innovative design has been granted Design Registration status, as have all of UrbanStone’s products, and comes in three distinctive standard colours and two ideal thicknesses.

The appealing and immensely durable exposed aggregate finish can be further enhanced with tertiary honing of the crest of Shifting Sands’ surface ripples.

This creates a unique combination of shotblasted and honed surfaces whose combined effect needs to be witnessed in application to be appreciated fully.

UrbanStone’s latest decorative SetStone border has also hit the market with considerable impact and adds an undeniable extra touch of class to the already marketing-leading range of UrbanStone products.

The polished quadrants in the SetStone borders complement the existing paving colour ranges and are an imaginative additional means of making Shifting Sands even more eye-catching.
